The Spirit of Volunteerism
Mountain Mentors coaches and athletes value giving back to the local community. From pulling noxious plants at Big Mine Park with Gunnison County crews to serving dessert at the Crested Butte Land Trust Gala, participants learn about local organizations that serve our community and the environment.
Mountain Flora & Fauna
Do you ever wonder what mushroom that is? Or do you want to know where snakes live? Mountain Mentors coaches and participants are inspired to learn about our natural, mountainous environment. One highlight of our programs is to identify the Wildflower of the Week.
First Aid Skills
Empowering youth and adults to become independent adventurers starts with education. First Aid Skills such as Patient Assessment, Calling 911, splinting, and wound care are a keystone to the Mountain Mentors program offerings. Age-appropriate skills are practiced each session.
